EasyProp – Precision and control at the touch of a button
With the EasyProp digital valve amplifier from WEBER-HYDRAULIK, you can conveniently control proportional and directional valves via smartphone or laptop – without cables, apps or complicated setup. Simply connect, adjust the parameters and precisely tailor the hydraulic system to the task at hand – quickly, intuitively and directly via the web interface. EasyProp works with valves from a wide range of manufacturers thanks to the DIN EN 175301-803 interface (formerly DIN 43650) and is ready for immediate use thanks to preset parameters. Live data from the inputs and outputs can be viewed directly – ideal for commissioning and troubleshooting. The integrated signal generator allows you to set ramps, cycles and dither parameters (10–500 Hz) to control the valve smoothly and precisely. Thanks to the built-in PID controller, the system automatically adjusts to the setpoint – without any additional control hardware.

Wherever pressure control and volume flow measurements are important
1. Digitaler Proportionalverstärker EasyProp – präzise Ventilsteuerung in der Hydraulik
The EasyProp digital proportional amplifier controls hydraulic proportional valves precisely according to specifications. It handles the control between the higher-level control system and the valve and converts electrical setpoints into regulated current signals. This ensures reproducible and stable control of pressure, flow or position.
Reliable operation of proportional valves requires precise and interference-free signal processing. EasyProp works as a compact valve amplifier and is compatible with common valve types. Parameterisation is transparent and requires no additional hardware. The device is suitable for mobile and stationary applications in which precise valve control is a decisive factor in performance and quality.
2. Precise control of proportional valves
A proportional valve responds to current, not voltage. The valve amplifier generates this current in a controlled manner and monitors it continuously. This keeps the characteristic curve stable – even with temperature fluctuations or changing load conditions.
The integrated control system works according to the principle of a PID controller and keeps the setpoint constant. Every detail counts when it comes to proportional valve control: ramp functions limit acceleration, superimposed alternating current signals (dither) reduce friction effects in the valve, and current limits protect the solenoid coils. EasyProp combines these functions in a single device. The result is smooth movement without jerking or overshooting.
2.1 Interfaces, connectors and integration
A proportional valve connector must be connected correctly. EasyProp supports common interfaces and signal types. Analogue setpoints, digital enable signals or PWM signals can be integrated directly.
This makes the system suitable for both modern machines and existing systems. Integration into existing valve control concepts is possible without costly modifications. The amplifier operates as a stand-alone unit and takes over complete current control for the valve. Even when combined with proportional valve joystick solutions, the response remains precise and reproducible.
2.2 Characteristic curve, adjustment and commissioning of the EasyProp
The characteristic curve of a proportional valve describes the relationship between the input signal and the valve stroke. EasyProp allows this characteristic curve to be specifically adapted to the respective application. Parameters can be set so that the valve is optimally matched to the machine and process.
Anyone who needs to adjust a proportional valve in a hydraulic system is provided with clear and structured adjustment options instead of factory settings that are difficult to understand. Commissioning is carried out systematically: first, the control signal is connected, then the valve is connected, and finally the parameterisation is carried out. Even when a hydraulic proportional valve is controlled via PLC or joystick, signal processing remains clear and transparent.
2.3 Difference between valve and amplifier
The proportional valve function describes the hydraulic implementation in the valve itself. The amplifier, on the other hand, regulates the electrical signal that enables this function.
Without a suitable valve amplifier, the valve cannot achieve stable proportionality. The EasyProp digital proportional amplifier determines how precisely a valve works. Current control, signal filtering and monitoring run continuously in the background – visible in the precise movement behaviour of the machine.
3. EasyProp – digital solution for precise hydraulics
EasyProp focuses on stable flow control, clear parameterisation and reliable proportional valve control.
Anyone who needs reproducible movements in hydraulics will find this system a well-designed solution for digital control.
If you want to control your valve technology more precisely or modernise an existing proportional valve hydraulic control system, EasyProp offers a technically sound and future-proof solution. Precise signal processing ultimately determines the quality of the entire system.
QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our services, products and processes – quickly and clearly.rsichtlich zusammengefasst.
A proportional valve reacts to current, not voltage. The higher-level control system usually supplies a voltage signal or a digital setpoint.
The proportional amplifier converts this input signal into a precisely regulated coil current and monitors it continuously. It is only through this regulated current control that the proportional valve operates proportionally, stably and reproducibly.
EasyProp continuously measures the actual coil current and compares it with the specified setpoint value. In the event of deviations, the integrated control system intervenes immediately.
This keeps the current constant even in the event of temperature changes, load fluctuations or varying supply voltages. The valve follows the control signal precisely and without undesirable fluctuations in its movement behaviour.
A digital proportional valve control enables precise settings for current limits, ramp functions and characteristic curve shape. Parameters can be defined, saved and reproduced as needed.
The control behaviour remains transparent and stable. Adjustments are made specifically via defined parameters – not via mechanical potentiometers or adjustments that are difficult to trace.
Yes. The digital proportional amplifier allows the characteristic curve to be specifically adapted to the respective application. Minimum flow, maximum flow, flow rise and other control parameters can be defined.
This allows the valve behaviour to be precisely adapted to different load conditions or movement requirements.
EasyProp processes common analogue input signals such as 0–10 V or 4–20 mA. Digital releases can also be integrated.
A suitable power supply and a current range compatible with the valve are required. The amplifier takes care of all current control.
The proportional valve performs the hydraulic function and determines the flow, pressure or position in the system.
The proportional amplifier, on the other hand, controls the electrical drive. It generates the defined and monitored coil current required by the solenoid in the valve.
Without regulated current control, a proportional valve does not operate proportionally in a stable manner. Only the amplifier ensures that the valve responds to an input signal evenly, precisely and reproducibly.
